“Story of the ‘Yol’” focuses on the movie “Yol”, which is written by Yılmaz Güney and directed by Şerif Gören. The difficulties of accomplishing a scenario written behind the walls of prison and the efforts for carrying out this project are narrated by the ones who testified the process. And, taking the road to Cannes after all… This documentary presents the development of the project beginning with the name of “Bayram” in 1980 and turning into “Yol”, by drawing the background of the period marked by political repression.
