International Bursa Silkroad Film Festival continues the memory work which began in the previous year of the festival, and which is one of the major deficiencies of Turkish Cinema.

Two respectable artists of Turkish Cinema, Nedret Güvenç and Muzaffer Tema, will be receiving their first awards from a national festival, fort he first time all along their career. And also, their names will be rendered immortal through the book edited by the Turkish Cinema researcher, Ali Can Sekmeç.

Besides the biographies and filmographies of the artists, photographs from personal albums, film stills and posters are coming to light, being published for the first time. 

Edited by the researcher-writer İsmail Cengiz in both English and Turkish, the book entitled “Bursa, the Natural Plateau” consists of photos that narrate best the historical and natural beauties of Bursa. This book can be seen as a guide to encourage the directors and producers - both new talented ones and masters, and both national and international - to make their films in Bursa.

With these books published, the memory of festival is been constructed on the one hand, and in the mean time, our libraries get more and more rich in terms of archive.
